Dr. Margarita's FREE Tailgating Recipe for Cosmopolitans

For those who don’t like tequila, a cosmopolitan offers a great tasting, robust drink. Since the Cosmo has about the same alcohol as the Margarita, everyone will be on the same track. There are many variations on this recipe, but after three years of experimentation, the following recipe was rated the best by the largest amount of people.

  • 1 ½ oz. Citron Vodka
  • ¾ oz. Triple Sec
  • ½ oz. Rose’s Lime Juice, chilled
  • ½ - 1 oz. Cranberry Juice, chilled
  • Squeeze (1/4 oz.) of fresh lime

Pour all ingredients into a martini shaker, shake very well with ice, and serve up in a chilled martini glass.

Mrs. Margarita’s FREE Recipe for Salsa

Fresh Tomato Salsa

    Ingredients:
  • 1 jalapeno chili pepper, stemmed and chopped fine (more if you like it hot)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ of medium red onion
  • 1 cup of unpacked cilantro leaves (or less for non cilantro lovers)
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 4 Italian plum tomatoes
  • 1 regular tomato

Preparation:
Coarsely chop the tomatoes. Transfer to bowl. Finely chop the garlic, onion, and cilantro leaves. Add to the tomatoes along with the chili peppers. Sprinkle with salt and lime juice. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
